Vital Hill Shilajit resin retail packaging example

How to Start a Private Label Shilajit Brand

A private-label Shilajit launch involves more than choosing a logo. Before you place your first order, agree on the resin specification, testing, packaging and delivery terms. This guide is a practical checklist for buyers planning a finished resin product under their own brand.

1. Write a product brief before asking for prices

Tell your supplier where you intend to sell, whether you need finished jars or bulk resin, the grams per jar, your expected quantity and your preferred launch date. Include your sales channel, such as your website or retail stores. A clear brief makes quotations easier to compare.

For example, a request for branded retail jars is different from an order for bulk resin that you will pack elsewhere. Ask for both options only if you genuinely have the packing arrangements to use them.

2. Ask for a written specification and sample

Discuss the source, purification approach, ingredient composition and packaging format. Ask what can vary between batches and what your supplier will confirm in writing. Review a representative sample before approving a full order, while recognizing that a sample does not replace testing of the production batch.

3. Review the laboratory report for the actual batch

Check the sample name, batch reference, laboratory, test date, methods, units and results. Ask which tests are included and which require a separate quotation. A general certificate or an old sample report does not answer every question about a new shipment.

Keep facility documents separate from product reports. A facility registration or manufacturing certificate describes a different aspect of the supplier than a laboratory result for a specific resin sample. You can review Vital Hill facility documentation and example lab reports before discussing your required testing.

4. Confirm the complete packaging specification

Agree on jar size, closure, label material, box design, print colors and packing configuration. Check that the approved artwork matches the final ingredients and net quantity. Arrange an appropriate review of labels and sales claims for your destination market before printing.

Ask who owns the artwork files, whether there are one-time printing costs, and how future reorders will use the same packaging. Record the final approved version so that the supplier and your team work from one file.

5. Compare the full quotation

Do not compare suppliers using only the product price. Ask whether the quote includes jars, labels, outer boxes, agreed tests, freight and any artwork or printing setup charges. Clarify who handles import formalities and destination charges.

MOQ and lead time can change with packaging and order size. Ask whether the stated production schedule starts after payment, artwork approval or receipt of packaging materials, and confirm the shipping time separately.

6. Prepare a repeat-order plan

Keep the approved specification, artwork, sample record, batch reports and shipment details together. Before reordering, confirm the current price, available packaging, lead time and any specification changes. A written approval trail reduces avoidable mistakes as your brand grows.

Your first-order checklist

  • Destination country and sales channel
  • Finished jars or bulk resin
  • Jar size, quantity and packaging specification
  • Required batch tests and documents
  • Approved artwork and label review
  • Itemized quotation and agreed shipping terms
  • Production and dispatch schedule

Example inquiry for a private-label Shilajit quotation

Use this as a starting point and replace the bracketed details with your requirements:

We are planning a Shilajit resin product for [country] through [sales channel]. Please quote [quantity] finished jars of [net grams] each, with [label and box requirements]. Our artwork is [ready / needs development]. Please itemize packaging, agreed batch testing, setup charges and shipping to [destination]. Confirm what is needed before production starts and which documents will accompany the shipment.

Ask the supplier to state any assumptions or exclusions beside the price. If two quotes use different jar sizes, test scopes or shipping terms, request a revised quote before comparing their totals.

Check the report before approving the order

Keep the agreed specification beside the batch report and confirm that the product and batch references match. Our Shilajit purity and laboratory report guide explains what to review and why simple home tests cannot establish purity. Resolve missing information with the supplier before shipment approval.
